@Backwall was founded in 2005, originally as a student forum brand at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. It ran for about two years before shutting down, and a later try at launching a digital magazine in 2008 didn’t take off.With the founder’s 20 years of experience running Dongke Media — a successful company in the anime industry — Backwall made a fresh comeback in 2023 on Xiaohongshu and WeChat Channels.Carrying the same mission from twenty years ago, Backwall is once again here to connect talents in art and design and spark cross-disciplinary exchange.
