ZHUA STREET: An Infinite Narrative Project

The Prelude

“We walk here, only to meet there.”

ZHUA STREET is an ongoing, indefinite global visual experiment. It centers on an action: ZHUA (to wander, to observe, to turn). It focuses on a unit: The Street. It anchors on a core: The Human.

The street is the greatest common denominator of civilization. Beyond the coordinates defined by geography, there exists a vital inertia that transcends borders. We invite artists to ground their gaze on the “individual”—to observe how bodies occupy public space, how boundaries are built through movement, and how silent intersections are formed.

We do not define the street; we simply record the Presence.

This is not merely a scan of physical spaces, but a long-term examination of the human condition. We seek the fragmented, authentic rhythms of walking that drift outside of grand narratives. Regardless of cultural context, this perception of the “nearby” is our shared foundation.

ZHUA STREET hereby opens an indefinite call for visual entries from artists worldwide. We set no stylistic boundaries; we impose no geographical limits. We simply invite you to join this endless circuit—and at every turn, to recognize one another.

街道是文明最基础的公约数。在那些被地理定义的坐标之上，存在着某种超越疆界的生命惯性。我们邀请艺术家将目光降落在具体的“人”身上，观察他们如何在公共空间中安置身体，如何在移动中建立边界，又如何在沉默中完成交汇。

我们不定义街道，我们只记录“在场”。

这不仅是对具体空间的扫描，更是一场关于“人类栖居状态”的长期考证。我们寻找那些游离于宏大叙事之外的、细碎且真实的行走节奏。无论在何种文化语境下，这种对于“附近”的感知，是我们共通的底色。
